Paying with Clipper

Wheels accepts the following on a Clipper card:

  • Cash value: For single rides.

    After you spend the daily maximum ($3.75 for adults, Clipper START and youth riders, and $1.75 for seniors and Clipper Access riders) on rides on County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, WestCAT (except Lynx) and Wheels, all rides on those services are free for the rest of the day.

  • Wheels 31-day pass: Unlimited rides for 31 days on all Wheels routes.

  • East Bay Regional Local 31-day pass: Unlimited rides for 31 days on all Wheels, County Connection, Tri Delta Transit and WestCAT (except Lynx) local routes.

Transferring with Clipper

Clipper knows when to give you free and discounted rides when you transfer.

Wheels Wheels: Free ride within 2 hours of boarding first Wheels bus.

Any transfer to Wheels from the transit agencies listed below (within 2 hours of boarding first agency) will result in a free fare. You still need to tap your card when boarding Wheels to receive the transfer discount.
