You can use a 31-Day Pass or cash value on a Clipper card. To determine the best value for you, visit Petaluma Transit for fare information.

Minimum Balance

When paying with cash value, you must have a minimum balance of $1.50 on an adult Clipper card, $1.25 on a Youth Clipper card, or 75 cents on a Senior or RTC Clipper card. No minimum cash value balance is required if you are using a 31-Day Pass.

31-Day Passes

A 31-Day Pass gives you unlimited rides on designated Petaluma Transit routes. You have the following options for 31-Day Clipper passes:

  • Adult 31-Day Pass
  • Youth 31-Day Pass
  • Senior/Disabled 31-Day Pass

Transfers

Clipper automatically grants free transfers between Petaluma Transit routes. Clipper also grants one discounted transfer when you transfer to or from Sonoma County Transit and Golden Gate Transit routes 74, 76 and 101.

Petaluma Transit customers transferring to SMART receive $1.50 off the adult fare and 75 cents off youth, senior and disabled fares. Customers transferring from SMART to Petaluma Transit receive one free transfer.

If you are transferring to a transit service that does not accept Clipper, you should request a paper transfer.
